Marietta Ave and Kenwood Blvd, Miwaukee's East Side

Monday, February 12, 2007

At 11:00AM I began my trek and it was snowing pretty heavily. At around 11:10 I walked down Marietta Ave North from Kenwood Blvd and passed a snowblower as it was running. It almost sounds like a chainsaw.

Hampshire and Hackett Ave, Milwaukee's East Side

Monday, February 12, 2007

At around 12:15 PM I walked west toward Summit and Hampshire. I then decided to stop behind a church. I micro phoned my surroundings. In this recording you hear the pitter patter of snow hitting the mikes and children in the background that sound like they're saying "help", which I did not discern at the time.

At around 1:00 PM I walked further down Summit Ave and moved west down Hartford Ave. As I was walking I noticed a
woman was letting out her dog.

Small Valley near Bridge, Lake Park

At around 2:00 PM I walked into Lake Park and as I passed the bridge I noticed a small valley. I held my microphones low and to my sides and this sound echoed through my headphones.

Lakefront, Lake Michigan

Monday, February, 2007

At around 2:35 PM the snow stopped falling and I had made my way towards the lake front. As I looked over the snow covered rocks I crouched down in order to avoid the blowing wind. I put my left microphone higher up in the air and my left microphone more towards the ground. As waves crashed in on the ice covered shore this is what I heard.
